Remote Mirror
Arcion (“we”) respects the privacy of everyone who uses Remote Mirror (the app for iPhone and iPad) and Remote Mirror Host (the app for Mac) (together, “the Apps”), and is committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the Apps.
The Apps don’t communicate with our servers, and there is no account to register. We never obtain or view your information or the contents of your screen.
The Apps communicate directly and only between your iPhone or iPad and your own Mac. What is sent is the image of your Mac’s screen, your actions such as clicks, scrolling and keyboard input, and the name of the Mac you connect to.
The connection is protected with encryption (TLS) based on the PIN shown on your Mac. Neither device records or stores the screen images or your actions.
When you connect from another network, such as cellular, your Mac and your iPhone or iPad need to know each other’s internet address (IP address and port number). The Apps exchange this address and connection signals by storing them only temporarily in your own iCloud (Apple’s CloudKit private database). Only your Apple Account can read or write this information; no third party, including us, can see it. Screen images and your actions are never stored in iCloud.
To find out their own address, the Apps also query public STUN servers (provided by Google and Cloudflare). Those servers receive only the IP address the query comes from; no screen contents or other data are sent.
Once the addresses are known, your Mac and your iPhone or iPad communicate directly, encrypted, without going through our servers.
The Apps store the following information only on each device:
All purchases in the app (free trial, Monthly Plan, Yearly Plan and Lifetime) are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your credit card or other payment information.
Your purchase status is verified on your device using Apple’s StoreKit. No purchase information is sent to our servers.
The Terms of Use for the Apps are Apple’s standard License Agreement (EULA).
The iPhone and iPad app uses local network access to find and connect to Macs on the same network. It is not used for any other purpose.
The Mac app uses the “Screen Recording” permission to show your screen on your iPhone or iPad, and the “Accessibility” permission to carry out clicks and key presses from your iPhone or iPad. The captured screen and actions are used only to send them to the connected iPhone or iPad, and are never stored.
The Apps never provide, sell or rent any information to third parties.
The Apps don’t use any third-party analytics tools other than Apple App Analytics. They show no ads and don’t collect or send the advertising identifier (IDFA).
The Apps do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
